Arrive Friday morning, orientation and tour, early lunch. We begin working in the afternoon, Saturday, Sunday will be full days of work, discussion, great food and fun. Monday will be a day for discussing what was learned, clean-up ,feed back on the workshop, etc. There will be time to go to the beach and enjoy the area.

 

Strawbale Workshop

I will be hosting yet another strawbale and earth plaster workshop. This will be my 1th year of passing this wonderful building technique on to others. 15 beautiful and completed projects , has given me a very good understanding of the process and also how to give workshop participants their money's worth.

The investment is $444, which also includes 3 wonderful organic live/raw vegan meals per day, camping space and use of our wonderful facility. The # of participants is limited to 15 so if this is what you're looking for, secure your space with a $50 non-refundable deposit, (cheque or money order made out to R. Ledwon). There are a few partial work trade spaces available as well.

This 4-day intensive will be primarily hands on, there will be time for discussion, instruction as well as question and answers, then we will get to those straw bales & earthen plaster. We are working on a renovation of one of the cabins, right on the land, which makes it very convenient and a harmonious environment for learning.

Those participating in the workshop have space to camp, access to Ashinah's hot showers, sauna, hot tub and amazing live/raw organic vegan meals, as well as campfire evenings. If camping does not apeal to you, but you are still very interested in participating, please contact us so we can see if we can accomodate your housing needs.

Unless your children can participate in the project the whole day (!), we request that you find a fun place for them to have good care during your workshop, as we have no accommodation or care persons for them this year.
