Our Vision

We are an intentional community and centre for awakening. Art and creativity are at the forefront of Ashinah. Our commitment is to live impeccably with our families in a non-violent way. Our focus is spiritual, mental and physical advancement. We hope to be a model for community that inspires through example. Our intention is to have a core group of committed and highly self- motivated individuals living, working and playing together. We feel that at this time in humankind's evolution only tribes have a good chance of survival. One of the precepts to living successfully is that we must have transparency in all our relations. Truth is necessary for transparency; therefore, we need to be truthful and radically honest with each other. We also need to love freely, which means loving free of fear and pretence.

We have several objectives, one of which is to align our community with the growing network of intentional communities from around the world. Our unified objective helping make the shift from the present paradigm on the planet and ultimately create a centre for higher learning. At present we are exploring several different possibilities for establishing a school. Our third objective is to reach a level of self-sufficiency through the production of organic foods, home based cottage businesses and a workshop facility.

It is possible to be a full time resident at Ashinah or to be a member who sees this as their homebase for their travels and journeys. We welcome all inquiries.
